A surgical offset guide tool for making a subsequent preparation on an outer surface of a natural femoral head following a first oversize preparation is disclosed. The guide tool guides a rotary cutter about an offset axis of revolution, the axis being offset from a datum having an axis coaxial with an initial axis of revolution used to create the first oversize preparation of the femoral head. Methods of using the offset guide tool and kits including the offset guide tool are disclosed.

On présente un outil de guidage décentré chirurgical permettant de produire une préparation subséquente sur une surface externe d'une tête fémorale naturelle après une première préparation surdimensionnées. L'outil de guidage oriente un outil de coupe rotatif autour d'un axe de révolution décentré, l'axe étant décalé par rapport à une surface de référence ayant un axe coaxial, un premier axe de révolution étant utilisé pour créer la première préparation surdimensionnée de la tête fémorale.
