A fluid metering and measuring device (8) is provided and which is particularly adapted to regulate ratios of oil and gasoline in a mixture of oil and gasoline used, for example, in a two-stroke engine. The device has a filling chamber (36) with a fluid inlet (38) and a fluid outlet (56). One-way check valves (40, 58) are disposed in both the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet to prevent backflow. A plunger stem (48) comprising a piston (44) is disposed within the chamber. When the stem and attached piston are pulled upwardly, a vacuum is created in the chamber to cause a fluid, e.g. oil to flow into the chamber and when depressed causes outflow. Gradations or indicia (54) indicate the amount of oil drawn into the chamber to ensure proper fluid ratios. The metering device may be incorporated into any suitable container (10) including a two compartment container wherein the compartments (18, 20) are in fluid communication.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de mesure et de dosage (8) de fluides, qui convient particulièrement bien pour établir la proportion d'huile et d'essence dans un mélange de ces deux fluides, utilisé, entre autres, dans un moteur deux-temps. Le dispositif possède une chambre de remplissage (36) avec une entrée (38) et une sortie (56) de fluides. L'entrée et la sortie de fluides sont munies de soupapes antiretour unidirectionnelles (40, 58), qui permettent d'éviter tout retour de fluides. Un plongeur avec une tige (48) et un piston (44) est placé à l'intérieur de la chambre. Lorsque l'on tire vers le haut la tige et le piston qui y est attaché, le vide qui se forme à l'intérieur de la chambre attire le fluide, p.ex. l'huile, à l'intérieur de la chambre; l'opération inverse provoque le refoulement du fluide. La graduation (54) indique la quantité de l'huile attirée à l'intérieur de la chambre, ce qui permet d'établir la proportion correcte de fluides. Le dispositif de dosage peut être intégré à tout récipient (10) qui possède deux compartiments (18, 20), lesquels sont en communication fluidique.
