An oil filter crusher includes an elongated triangular frame, a threaded drive screw (10), and a ram assembly, but does not include any actuator for driving the screw. Rather, a first end of the drive screw has a drive head (12) to which a user may couple a conventional wrench, such as a pneumatic impact wrench of the type commonly used in automotive service centers. A thrust bearing assembly (40) couples the second end of the drive screw to the ram assembly (32). A threaded portion of the drive screw (10) engages a threaded opening in a portion of the frame. The ram assembly (32) thus moves in an axial direction in response to rotation of the drive screw with respect to the frame. Rotating the drive screw in one direction moves it toward the filter to be crushed, and rotating it in the opposite direction moves it away from the filter.
L'invention concerne un broyeur de filtres à huile comprenant une structure triangulaire allongée, une vis de guidage filetée (10) et un ensemble piston-plongeur, mais ne comportant pas d'actionneur pour entraîner la vis. De préférence, une première extrémité de la vis de guidage comporte une tête (12) sur laquelle l'utilisateur peut raccorder une clé traditionnelle telle qu'une clé pneumatique du type de celles utilisées dans les centres techniques automobiles. Un ensemble palier de butée (40) raccorde la seconde extrémité de la vis de guidage à l'ensemble piston-plongeur (32). Une partie filetée de la vis de guidage (10) s'engage dans une ouverture filetée d'une partie de la structure. L'ensemble piston-plongeur (32) se déplace donc dans le sens axial en réponse à la rotation de la vis de guidage par rapport à la structure. La rotation de la vis de guidage dans un sens provoque son déplacement vers le filtre à broyer, et sa rotation dans le sens opposé l'éloigne du filtre.
