An oil pan which includes a shell of plastic material (e.g., of thermoplastic polyamide), and a support structure (e.g., of metal), having a plurality of perforations, that is fixedly attached to the exterior surfaces and/or the interior surfaces of the plastic shell, is described. More particularly, the oil pan (2) comprises: (a) a shell (11) of plastic material having interior and exterior surfaces, the interior surfaces of the shell defining a hollow interior (40); and (b) a support structure (12) in abutting relationship with and being fixedly attached to at least one of, (i) at least a portion of the exterior surfaces of the shell (11), and (ii) at least a portion of the interior surfaces of the shell (11), the support structure (12) has a plurality of perforations (20) having edges. The plastic shell (11) is formed by molding of plastic material onto the support structure (12), a portion of the plastic material of the shell (11) extends through at least some of the perforations (20) of the support structure (12), the edges of the perforations (20) being embedded in the plastic material extending there through, thereby attaching fixedly the support structure (12) to the plastic shell (11). The oil pan of the present invention may be used as the oil pan or reservoir of a mechanical apparatus (e.g., an internal combustion and/or electric engine) in which oil is collected and from which the oil is redistributed, preferably continuously, during operation of the apparatus.
La présente invention concerne un carter d'huile constitué, d'une part d'une coque en plastique, notamment un polyamide thermoplastique, et d'autre part d'une structure support, notamment en métal. Cette structure support, qui comporte une pluralité de perforations, se fixe à demeure aux surfaces extérieures et/ou intérieures de la coque en plastique. Plus particulièrement, le carter d'huile (2) comprend: (a) une coque (11) en plastique distinguant des surfaces intérieures et extérieures, les surfaces intérieures de la coque définissant un intérieur creux (40); et (b) une structure support (12) s'ajustant et se fixant à demeure sur, (i) au moins une partie des surfaces extérieures de la coque (11), et/ou, (ii) au moins une partie des surfaces intérieures de la coque (11), la structure support (12) comportant une pluralité de perforations (20) à rebords. La coque en plastique (11) est réalisée par moulage de matière plastique sur la structure support (12). Une partie de la matière plastique de la coque (11) traverse certaines au moins des perforations (20) de la structure support (12). Les rebords des perforations (20) sont noyés dans la matière plastique les traversant, ce qui fait que la structure support (12) reste fixée à demeure à la coque en plastique (11). Le carter d'huile de la présente invention convient comme carter d'huile ou réservoir d'un appareil mécanique, tel qu'un moteur à combustion interne et/ou un moteur électrique, dans lequel on recueille l'huile, et à partir duquel on redistribue l'huile, de préférence en continu, pendant le fonctionnement de l'appareil.
