GRD(VIK). 4585 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An oil pick-up device for removing oil floating on the surface of water which device comproses at least one unit comprising at least three discs mounted on a plurality of tie rods in which, in each unit, each tie rod passes through a respective hole in each disc, the discs are spaced from one another along the tie rods by the insertion between them of tubular spacers adapted to fit around the tie rods, each disc is associated with a scraper for removing oil therefrom and the tie rods are secured at both ends to end plates each of which plates supports a respective rotatable shaft.
