OIL PUMP WITH A FLOW-LIMITER VALVE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A directly driven gear pump having high and low rates of pump discharge is connected by a flow conduit to a remotely positioned hydraulic control valve. The flow conduit is of such size that its flow capacity at high-speed pump pressure is less than the high rate of pump discharge. a flow-limiter at the pump restricts pump discharge to the conduit to a rate which the conduit can handle and bypasses excess pump discharge directly to the pump input.
