Radiation curable compositions for coatings, adhesives, inks, and molded articles are disclosed. The radiation curable compositions comprise: (A) at least one polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated compound of one of formulae (I, II, III), wherein M is one or more metal atoms of valence n, wherein n = y.w, and wherein M is optionally more than one metal atom, with the proviso that the global equivalent metal valence is n = w.y; n is an integer of about 1-6; R is a residue of a compound having anhydride and/or carboxylic acid groups with an initial equivalent carboxy equivalent functionality defined by the equation f = x + y + z, wherein f is an integer of about 2 to 30; R1 is a residue of a hydroxy-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound; R2 is H or a residue of a hydroxy-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound different from R1; R3 is a residue of a hydroxy-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound; w is the number of moieties having residue R required for metal valence n; x is an integer of about 1 to f-1; y is an integer of about 1 to 2 (the number of intramolecular carboxylates bonded to M); z is an integer of about 0 to f- 2; Y is H or R3; and (B) at least one copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer or oligomer.
L'invention se rapporte à des compositions réticulables par exposition à un rayonnement et destinées à la fabrication de revêtements, d'adhésifs, d'encres et d'articles moulés. Ces compositions comportent: (A) au moins un composé éthyléniquement insaturé et polymérisable, représenté par l'une des formules (I), (II), (III), dans lesquelles M est au moins un atome de métal de valence n, avec n= y.w, et où M représente éventuellement plus qu'un atome de métal, à condition que la valence équivalente globale du métal soit n = w.y; n est un entier compris entre 1 et 6; R est un reste de composé ayant des groupes d'acide carboxylique et/ou d'anhydride dotés d'une fonctionnalité carboxy équivalente initiale, définie par l'équation f = x + y + z, où f est un entier compris entre 2 et 30, R1 est un reste de composé éthyléniquement insaturé contenant un hydroxy; R2 est H ou un reste de composé éthyléniquement insaturé contenant un hydroxy différent de R1; R3 est un reste de composé éthyléniquement insaturé contenant un hydroxy; w est le nombre de fractions ayant le reste R nécessaire à la valence du métal n; x est un entier compris entre 1 et f-1; y est un entier compris entre 1 et 2 (le nombre de carboxylates intramoléculaires liés à M); z est un entier compris entre 0 et f-2; Y est H ou R3; et (B) au moins un oligomère ou un monomère éthyléniquement insaturé et copolymérisable.
