The present invention relates to the roles played by OIP5 genes in lung and/or esophageal cancer carcinogenesis and features a method for treating and/or preventing lung and/or esophageal cancer by administering a double-stranded molecule against the OIP5 genes or a composition, vector or cell containing such a double-stranded molecule and antibody.The present invention also features methods for detecting and/or diagnosing lung and/or esophageal cancer, or assessing/determining the prognosis of and/or monitoring the efficacy of a cancer therapy in a patient with lung and/or esophageal cancer by detecting OIP5. Also, disclosed are methods of identifying compounds for treating and preventing cancer relating to OIP5.
La présente invention concerne les rôles joués par les gènes OIP5 dans la carcinogenèse du cancer du poumon et/ou de lsophage et concerne un procédé de traitement et/ou de prévention du cancer du poumon et/ou de lsophage par administration dune molécule bicaténaire contre les gènes OIP5 ou dune composition, dun vecteur ou dune cellule contenant une telle molécule bicaténaire et un anticorps. La présente invention concerne également des procédés de détection et/ou de diagnostic du cancer du poumon et/ou de lsophage ou dévaluation/détermination du pronostic et/ou de suivi de lefficacité dun traitement du cancer chez un patient atteint dun cancer du poumon et/ou de lsophage par détection dOIP5. Linvention concerne également des procédés didentification de composés pour traiter et prévenir le cancer associé à OIP5.
