A process for hydroformylating terminal and internal olefins in a two-phase system uses new metal catalysts. The two-phase system consists of an aqueous and an organic phase. The metals belong to group VIII of the periodic table of elements: Rh, Ru, Ir, Co or Pd. The ligands for the metals are novel, water- soluble, phosphane-modified .beta.-cyclodextrines.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour l'hydroformylation d'oléfines terminales et internes dans un système à deux phases, au moyen de nouveaux catalyseurs métalliques. Ce système à deux phases est constitué d'une phase aqueuse et d'une phase organique. Les métaux appartiennent au groupe VIII de la classification périodique des éléments, à savoir Rh, Ru, Ir, Co ou bien Pd. Les ligands destinés à ces métaux sont de nouvelles .beta.-cyclodextrines modifiées par du phosphane, lesquelles sont solubles dans l'eau.
