TITLE OLIVE PICKER INVENTOR John SORRENTI ABSTRACT This invention relates to an olive picking device which through mechanical and hydraulic action picks olives and other materials off the surface of the ground, and conveys them through a series of operational chambers for separating the desired olives from the undesired debris. This is accomplished firstly, by vacuum then venting the vacuum flow and hence separating substantially lighter than density material from the olives, then, passing them through a second region of fluid separation where the olives are separated essentially from materials which are heavier in density than the olives, and then through a mechanical separation chamber or subsystem which separates olives from that foreign material that is sized close to that of the olives. The olives are then conveyed to a collection region or bin from where they are ready for removal by conventional means to a processing plant where the olives are processed into olive oil.
