ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In omni-directional rolls for conveyors, it is known to have a disc which rotates about its own axis and has a plurality of barrel-shaped rollers mounted around its periphery, the rollers rotating about axes arranged at right angles to the axis of the disc. The outer peripheries of the rollers all lie upon a common cylindrical surface. In this invention, the rollers are equipped with peripheral ribs. Preferably, these ribs are of small height in relation to the diameter of their respective rollers and are narrow in rela- tion to their axial spacing.
