The invention relates to an on-board flight management system. According to the invention, the aircraft crew use an MCD console (20) to enter elements which enable the FMS flight management computer to plot a flight plan, and the courses of the parts of the flight plan corresponding to the airways procedures are displayed on the navigation display (30), the names of said procedures being displayed on the console (20). In this way, the invention facilities the crew in selecting an airways procedure, since the course of the part of the flight plan corresponding to an airways procedure is much more informative than the name of said procedure.

Ce système embarqué de gestion du vol affiche sur l~écran de navigation (30) les tracés des parties de plan de vol correspondant aux procédures de navigation dont les noms sont affichés sur la console MCD (20) lors de l'introduction par l~équipage de l'aéronef, au moyen de la console MCD, des éléments permettant au calculateur de gestion du vol FMS de tracer un plan de vol. Cela facilite la tache de l'équipage lors d'un choix de procédure de navigation car le tracé de la partie de plan de vol correspondant à une procédure de navigation est beaucoup plus parlant que le nom de la procédure.
