The present invention is related to an on-line early warning detection system of runaway initiation in a batch chemical reactor, comprising means (12) for measuring the temperature in the reactor and/or its jacket at different points and at different instants, and means (3 to 5) for deducing therefrom criteria for dangerous runaway conditions. According to the invention, said deducing means (3 to 5) include means (5) for defining the area evolution of the system in the reconstructed phase space according to the formula (I): div [F(t)] - (I/t) In area (P1t+.DELTA.t, P2t+.DELTA.t, P3t+.DELTA.t)/area/P1t, P2t, P3t) wherein are a signifies the area of the parallelogram given by points P1, P2, P3 and the instant t and t+.DELTA.t respectively, and means (8, 9) for launching an alarm, if div[F(t)] > 0.
La présente invention concerne un système en ligne, à alerte rapide, permettant de détecter l'initiation de l'emballement d'un réacteur chimique discontinu. Ce système comprend des moyens (12) pour mesurer la température dans le réacteur et/ou son enveloppe, en différents points, et à différents instants. Ce système comporte aussi des moyens (3 à 5) pour déduire de ces derniers des critères correspondants aux conditions d'emballement dangereuses. Selon la présente invention, les moyens de déduction (3 à 5) comprennent des moyens (5) pour définir l'évolution d'une zone du système dans l'espace de phase reconstruit, selon la formule (I): div [F(t)] = (1/t) 1n area (P1t+ DELTA t, P2t+ DELTA t, P3t+ DELTA t)/area (P1t + P2t + P3t). Dans cette dernière formule, area correspond à la zone du parallélogramme donnée par les points P1, P2, P3 à l'instant t et t+ DELTA t respectivement, et des moyens (8,9) pour lancer une alarme si div[F(t)]>0.
