The present invention provides for an on-line sales and promotion system for promoting product or services of a merchant. The system comprises a merchant website provided on a server computer connected to a network; the website including, i) a database of produces ar services for promotion by the merchant, the database including fields of information for each product or service retard for promotion, the database fields for each record including at least a product or service identifier, a description and a promotion price for the product or service, ii) a data entry means to permit the entry of the information the products or services into the database records for the products and services, iii) a promotion implementation means to enable the promotion of the products ar services for a predetermined interval and thereafter disable the promotion, and iv) a view promotion means to enable the products or services being promoted to be viewed by a potential consumer utilizing a client computer connected to the network. A remote broadcaster, broadcasts an audio or video signal containing information on the products being promoted, the predetermined interval of the promotion and the address of the website containing the information on the product being provided. the audio or video signal being received by potential consumers who are directed to the website by the information contained in the signal.
