An on-line method of synthesizing or regenerating catalysts for autothermal oxidation processes, specifically, the oxidation of paraffinic hydrocarbons, for example, ethane, propane, and naphtha, to olefins, for example, ethylene and propylene. The catalyst comprises a Group 8B metal, for example, a platinum group metal and, optionally, a promoter, such as tin, antimony, or copper, on a support, preferably a monolith support. On-line synthesis or regeneration involves co-feeding a volatile Group 8B metal compound and/or a volatile promoter compound with the paraffinic hydrocarbon and oxygen into the oxidation reactor under ignition or autothermal conditions.
L'invention concerne un procédé en ligne, permettant d'effectuer la synthèse ou de régénérer des catalyseurs utilisés dans des processus d'oxydation autothermique, notamment l'oxydation d'hydrocarbures paraffiniques, par exemple de l'éthane, du propane, et du naphte, afin de former des oléfines, par exemple, de l'éthylène et du propylène. Le catalyseur comprend un métal du Groupe 8B, par exemple, un métal du groupe du platine et, éventuellement, un promoteur, tel que l'étain, l'antimoine, ou le cuivre, sur un support, de préférence un support monolithe. La réalisation de la synthèse ou de la régénération en ligne implique d'introduire simultanément un composé métallique volatil du Groupe 8B et/ou un composé de promoteur volatil, l'hydrocarbure paraffinique et l'oxygène dans un réacteur d'oxydation dans des conditions d'allumage ou des conditions autothermiques.
