Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to a system for regulating the out- put of a radiation source The system is comprised of a power source ter- minal radiation source connected in circuit with the power source terminal and an electronic switch connected in circuit with the power source ter- minal and the radiation source to control the energization of the radiation source. A radiation sensor is optically coupled and responsive to the radiation output of the radiation source. A feedback circuit is provided, responsive to the radiation sensor and connected to control the electronic switch. The feedback circuit has a first output condition in response to a first value of radiation output from the radiation source. This first condition places the switch into a non-conducting condition to terminate energization of the source. When the radiation sensed reaches a second value below the first value the feedback circuit takes on a second condition that places the switch into a conducting condition. This regulates the radiation source very precisely.
