ABSTRACT A television receiver having push buttons numerically labelled 0 through 9 for operatively selecting a television channel is switched on or off without the aid of a particularized manual on-off switch. Depression of channel selection push buttons activates the power to the main portion of the television receiver concurrently setting it to a desired television channel. Further depression of the push buttons selecting a particular number which does not correspond to any existent channel operatively switches the main portion of the television receiver off.
