A generally planar base panel member (13) has mounted to its back face a pair of laterally spaced apart chambers (45, 46) whose open fronts are covered by the panel (13). A pair of electrical receptacles (49, 50, 51, 52) in each chamber (45, 46) are arranged in alignment with apertures in the base panel (13). First and second front panels (11, 12) each have a neon tubing configuration (18) mounted on a front side of the panel (13) with the electric end terminals (66) at opposite ends of the tubing configurations (18) projecting through holes in the front panels (11, 12) so that when the front panels (11, 12) are juxtaposed to the front of the base panel (13) the neon tube terminals (66) plug into the receptacles (49, 50, 51, 52). A power supply (53) for neon tubing (18) is mounted to the back face of the base panel member (13). The neon tubing configurations (18) on the individual front panels (11, 12) when plugged into the receptacles (49, 50, 51, 52) form a series circuit which connects across the high voltage output terminals of the power supply (53).
La présente invention concerne une enseigne au néon remplaçable sur place. Un panneau de base (13) sensiblement plan supporte, à l'arrière, deux compartiments espacés latéralement (45, 46) dont l'avant, ouvert, est couvert par le panneau (13). Une paire d'alvéoles électriques (49, 50 et 51, 52) dans chaque compartiment (45, 46) est disposée en alignement avec des ouvertures du panneau de base (13). Un premier et deuxième panneaux avant (11, 12) portent chacun un motif formé par des tubes au néon (18), les broches électriques (66), situées aux extrémités opposées des motifs en tubes (18), dépassant par des trous pratiqués dans les panneaux avant (11, 12). Ainsi, quand les panneaux avant (11, 12) sont juxtaposés à la face avant du panneau de base (13), les broches (66) des tubes au néon s'enfoncent dans les alvéoles (49, 50, 51, 52). Une alimentation électrique (53) destinée aux tubes au néon (18) est montée à l'arrière du panneau de base (13). Quand ils sont branchés aux alvéoles (49, 50, 51, 52), les motifs formés par des tubes au néon (18), sur les différents panneaux avant (11, 12), forment un circuit série qui se ferme en passant par les bornes de sortie haute tension de l'alimentation (53).
