ONE-COAT RUBBER-TO-METAL BONDING ADHESIVE Abstract of the Invention An adhesive composition exhibiting strong rubber-to-metal bonds with excellent environmental resistance without the necessity of first priming the metal surface has been discovered. The composition comprises a halogenated polyolefin, an aromatic nitroso compound, metal oxide such as zinc oxide or magnesium oxide, and optionally a vulcanizing agent such as sulfur or selenium, a phenolic epoxy resin, or carbon black.
