APSTRACT NCO-containing prepolymers which are soluble in aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbon solvents are prepared by reacting a stoichiometric excess of an organic diiso- cyanate with a polyol that is the reaction product of a polyhydroxyl initiator compound such as glycerine with certain glycldyl ethers such as the glycidyl ether of the n-butyl ether of ethylene glycol.
