ONE PIECE CONCEALED NECKTIE HOLDER Abstract It is known that devices used to secure a four-in- hand necktie to a shirt, while being out of view, already exist. This invention is an improvement to the patent application no. 2,055,090-2 filed 91/11/06 by the same inventor and owner. In this invention the concealed necktie holder is made of a single piece of flexible translucent vinyl. The device has rectangular shape, approximately 2 centimetres wide by 29 centimetres long and has two symmetrical halves, each 14.5 cm. long, that are designed to be folded one over the other when in use. It incorporates four longitudinally aligned button holes positioned in such a way that, when the device is folded, there are two superimposed button holes located at both extremities of the rectangular shape to match the spacing between shirt buttons. The device uses the necktie label, or any other narrow horizontal band attached to the back of the wide end of the necktie, and two adjacent shirt buttons to secure the necktie. The design of this device, with its two symmetrical halves, was dictated by the two possible vertical positions of the necktie label relative to the shirt buttons. The two positions are: between two shirt buttons or directly in front of a shirt button. To secure the four-in-hand necktie when the necktie label falls between two shirt button you keep the device folded, and simply slide both halves of the folded device between the necktie label and the necktie itself and then you button each end of the folded device to the two adjacent shirt buttons located each side of the necktie label. For the other possibility when the necktie label falls directly in front of a button, you keep the device folded, holding it vertically with the fold at the lower end, but then you insert only one of the symmetrical halves between the necktie and its label, positioning the necktie label close to the folded end, then you fasten the top button holes of both halves of the device to the shirt button located immediately above the necktie label and finally you fasten only the lower button hole of the half next to the shirt to the button directly in front of the necktie label. The device therefore enables the four-in-hand necktie to be secured to the shirt no matter where the label falls relative to the position of the shirt buttons.
