Case 3794 A ONE-PIECE TORQUE TRANSMITTING DEVICE ABSTRACT A one-piece torque transmitting device includes a U- shaped clip which is detachably secured to the swaged end of a cylindrical shaft. The clip is secured to the swaged end of the shaft by the inherent resiliency of the spring-like material cooperating with inwardly struck burred teeth which bite into the material of the shaft when the clip is positioned thereon. The clip has a slot in the bight portion to receive the end of the swaged end, a plurality of inwardly projecting detents, and outwardly extending recesses cooperating to limit lateral shifting of the clip relative to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. -1-
