A process of forming a bimetallic catalyst composition comprising a cocatalyst (a trialkylaluminum compound) and a catalyst precursor. The precursor comprises at least two transition metals; a metallocene complex is a source of one of said two transition metals. The precursor is produced in a single-pot process by contacting a porous carrier, in sequence, with a dialkylmagnesium compound, an aliphatic alcohol, a non-metallocene transition metal compound, a contact product of a metallocene complex and a trialkylaluminum compound, and methylalumoxane.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de production d'une composition de catalyseur bimétallique comprenant un cocatalyseur (un composé de trialkylaluminium) et un précurseur de catalyseur. Ce précurseur comprend au moins deux métaux de transition; un complexe métallocène qui est une source d'un des deux métaux de transition. On produit le précurseur dans un processus en pot unique en mettant en contact un support poreux avec, successivement, un composé de dialkylmagnésium, un alcool aliphatique, un composé de métal de transition non métallocène, un produit permettant le contact d'un complexe métallocène et d'un composé trialkylaluminium, et un méthylalumoxane.
