Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a process to amplify a specific segment of DNA from minute amount of genetic material such as blood drops or hairs. Traditional method for detecting the amplified DNA product is by using the agarose gel electrophoresis for size separation. And then the ethidium bromide treated gel will be observed under UV light. In this invention, one step assay test strip is used to detect the amplified product directly after the PCR process in a fast and convenient way. The use of ethidium bromide and agarose gel electrophoresis are not required.
