ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An opaque extrudable toothpaste containing as the abrasive and/or polishing agent, sodium aluminosilicate or a mixture comprising a major proportion of sodium aluminosilicate and a minor proportion of another abrasive which is wholly or predominantly dicalcium phosphate, in a vehicle which is wholly or predominantly water. The tooth paste has an improved abrasive system, expensive sodium aluminosilicate being used in decreased quantities with comparable abrasivity to conventional tooth pastes.
