An apparatus, system and method of a digital video recorder. The apparatus, system and method include at least one memory device, a plurality of communication access points for receiving at least one program play, and an open application programming interface associated with the at least one memory device for programming a plurality of applications to operate on the at least one program play. Each of the plurality of applications correspondent to said open application programming interface manipulates metadata associated with ones of the programs plays. The metadata may relate to interactivity with detailed, non-topical aspects of the ones of the program plays.
La présente invention concerne un appareil, un système et un procédé concernant un enregistreur vidéo numérique. L'appareil, le système et le procédé incluent au moins un dispositif de mémoire, une pluralité de points d'accès de communication pour recevoir au moins une lecture d'émission, et une interface de programmation d'application ou "API" ouverte associée avec le dispositif de mémoire considéré de façon à programmer une pluralité d'applications devant intervenir sur la lecture d'émission considérée. Chacune des applications de la pluralité d'applications correspondant à ladite interface API ouverte manipule des métadonnées associées à certaines des lectures d'émission.
