Open-end wrench with alternating rotation control operating at angular displacement, of the type comprising a longitudinal handle having, at least at one of its ends, a jaw element (1) for screwing or unscrewing a nut (7), each jaw element (1) consisting of two sections (4) forming a jaw. At least one of said sections (4) includes at least one movable roller (6) inserted in at least one housing (9 or 9) in the jaw element body (1). Said housing (8 or 9) is provided with an aperture (10 or 11) opening onto the jaw, the gripping torque resulting from the action of at least one movable roller (6) which is locked by the engagement of the flats of the nut (7) with the faces of said housing (8 or 9) and the sections (4) of the jaw element (1). Said movable roller (6) moves in its housing (8 or 9) between a retracted position therein and an engagement position with the nut (7), and is either free to be rotated or translated or locked through said engagement. The wrench of the invention is preferably useful for driving a tool requiring an alternating rotary motion.

Au moins une des branches (4) comporte au moins un rouleau mobile (6) logé dans au moins un logement (8 et/ou 9) pratiqué dans le corps de la fourche (1), ledit logement (8 ou 9) est pourvu d'une ouverture (10 ou 11) débouchant au niveau de la mâchoire, le couple de serrage est obtenu par l'action d'au moins un rouleau mobile (6) qui est bloqué du fait de l'arc-boutement obtenu entre les pans de l'écrou (7), les faces dudit logement (8 ou 9) et les branches (4) de la fourche (1); ledit rouleau mobile (6) est déplacé dans son logement (8 ou 9) entre une position escamotée dans ledit logement (8 ou 9) et une position d'arc-boutement avec l'écrou (7); ledit rouleau mobile (6) est soit libre en rotation et en translation, soit bloqué du fait de l'arc-boutement. Application préférentielle à l'entraînement d'un outil nécessitant un mouvement rotatif alternatif.
