Examples of uses for these tire pipes are culverts, trombe walls in solar heating systems, vents for earth sheltered homes, conduits for wires, other pipes, etc.. Turning the pipe into a vertical position and covering the lower end with a cap results in tanks useful for agricultural and industrial purposes.
