ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An open sided support for cable marking has the configuration of a "C" shaped sleeve provided along the free ends of the "c" with at least one and preferably two opposed lateral shapes or bodies connected by weakened zones, each shape or body being provided with an inwardly directed upper projection and a lower projection so that during the assembly of the support on the cable the sleeve is subjected to elastic strain and the body or bodies begin to oscillate around the weakened zones so that, due to an elastic thrust acting on the external lower semicircumference of the cable, the latter is pushed inwards and will snap into the sleeve causing a further oscillation of the body or bodies until they reach their end position while pushing the cable inwards.
