ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An operable glass block window comprises a window frame sized for insertion into an opening in a structure. A window sash is provided which carries a plurality of glass blocks. The glass blocks are connected to one another to form a rigid panel, and the panel is connected to the window sash to form an integral structure. Hinges or pivots are provided for connecting the sash to the frame to allow the sash to move relative to the frame.
