An operating unit (5) for operating a window covering. The operating unit (5) includes a housing (11), a rotatable drive pulley (13) having an axis of rotation and first and second mounting positions in the housing, with respect to the axis of rotation, an engagement device (15), rotatable about the axis of rotation, and a brake mechanism (45, 47, 49) for, in use, arresting the engagement device when the drive pulley (13) is not rotated and preventing the engagement device and drive pulley from being back driven by the window covering. The engagement device (15) has a plurality of circumferentially spaced pins (19) parallel to the axis of rotation. The drive pulley (13) has a corresponding plurality of openings (17) facing the pins (19). In the first mounting position, the pins on the engagement device (15) engage with the corresponding openings (17) in the drive pulley and the engagement device rotates with the drive pulley. In the second mounting position, the pins (19) do not so engage and the engagement device (15) thereby can rotate relative to the drive pulley (13).
L'invention concerne une unité de fonctionnement (5) destinée à faire fonctionner un couvre-fenêtre, qui comporte un logement (11), une poulie d'entraînement rotative (13) ayant un axe de rotation et une première et une seconde position de montage dans le logement, par rapport à l'axe de rotation, un dispositif de prise (15) tournant autour de l'axe de rotation, et un mécanisme de frein (45, 47, 49) destiné, à l'emploi, à arrêter le dispositif de prise lorsque la poulie d'entraînement (13) ne tourne pas et à empêcher le dispositif de prise et la poulie d'entraînement d'être entraînés en arrière par le couvre-fenêtre. Le dispositif de prise (15) possède plusieurs broches espacées de manière circonférentielle (19) parallèles à l'axe de rotation. La poulie d'entraînement (13) présente plusieurs ouvertures (17) correspondantes regardant les broches (19). Dans la première position de montage, les broches sur le dispositif de prise (15) viennent en prise avec les ouvertures (17) correspondantes dans la poulie d'entraînement et le dispositif d'entraînement tourne avec ladite poulie d'entraînement. Dans la seconde position de montage, les broches (19) ne viennent pas en prise et le dispositif de prise (15) peut alors tourner par rapport à la poulie d'entraînement (13).
