Afin de réduire l'energie de coupure d'un disjoncteur haute ou moyenne tension, la chambre de coupure (10) comprend deux contacts (12, 14) mobiles en sens inverse, actionnés par l'intermédiaire d'un seul dispositif (20, 30). L'entraînement en sens inverse des contacts (12, 14) est effectué par une came cylindrique (22) dont les lumières (26, 28) coopèrent avec des tiges (32, 42) fixes reliées à chacun des contacts (12, 14): le profil des lumières (26, 28) permet de gérer la vitesse et l'amplitude de déplacement du deuxième contact (14) par rapport au contact principal (12) sans conception complexe.
