A method and apparatus for operation control of a melting furnace (1) provided with an inlet (2) for burned ash (6), a cinder notch (3) for molten slag (7), and a heat source (9) for heating the supplied burned ash. The method comprises the step of shooting with a television camera (5) the vicinity of the surface of the molten slag (7) heated by the heat transferred from the heat source to obtain an electronic image thereof; the step of differentiating a high temperature area in the electronic image having a temperature of not lower than a prescribed temperature (1300 ~C) from a low temperature area having a temperature below the prescribed temperature; and the step of controlling the heat quantity given by the heat source to the burned ash so as to set the area of the differentiated high temperature area to a prescribed value. The television camera (5) is provided with a relay lens (4) and arranged so as to substantially align the surface part of the molten slag (7), to which heat is transferred from the heat source (9), with the center of the image.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un dispositif de commande d'un four de fusion (1) pourvu d'une entrée (2) pour la cendre (6), d'un trou à laitier (3) pour la scorie en fusion (7), et d'une source de chaleur (9) permettant de chauffer la cendre d'alimentation. Ledit procédé consiste à enregistrer avec une caméra de télévision (5) le voisinage de la surface de la scorie en fusion (7) chauffée par la chaleur provenant d'une source de chaleur, de manière à obtenir une image électronique de ce voisinage; à distinguer sur l'image électronique une zone à température élevée, supérieure ou égale à une température prescrite (1300·C), d'une zone à température peu élevée, inférieure à ladite température prescrite; et à réguler la quantité de chaleur fournie par la source de chaleur à la cendre de manière à fixer à la température prescrite la température de la zone distinguée à température élevée. La caméra de télévision (5) est pourvue d'une lentille relais (4) et est conçue de sorte que la partie de surface de la scorie en fusion (7), à laquelle la source (9) de chaleur fournit de la chaleur, est sensiblement alignée avec le centre de l'image.
