A method and apparatus for curing dental material with radiation from a halogen lamp provides for a shifting of a spectrum of the radiation to a shorter wavelength for increased rate of curing by adjusting current flow within a heating element of the lamp. The current is applied over an interval of time for accomplishing the curing. Feedback and feedforward circuitry, operative with a control signal of a regulated power source to reduce voltage applied by the power source to the heating element during an initial portion of the interval of time, prior to obtaining an operating temperature of the heating element, to maintain an upper bound on the magnitude of the current applied to the heating element, thereby to the vivid unnecessary and operations of the heating element for increased operating lifetime of the lamp.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à polymériser des matériaux dentaires au moyen du rayonnement d'une lampe halogène permettant le décalage d'un spectre de rayonnement à une longueur d'onde plus courte afin de permettre un taux de polymérisation augmenté par réglage du débit de courant dans un élément chauffant de la lampe. Le courant est appliqué dans un intervalle de temps afin d'accomplir la polymérisation. L'invention concerne des circuits de rétroaction et de correction avals, mis en oeuvre par un signal de commande d'une source de puissance régulée afin de réduire la tension appliquée par la source de puissance à l'élément chauffant pendant une partie initiale de l'intervalle de temps, avant d'obtenir une température de fonctionnement de l'élément chauffant, afin de conserver une liaison supérieure sur l'intensité de courant appliquée à l'élément chauffant, ce qui rend inutile la vivacité de l'élément chauffant, et le fonctionnement de cet élément permettant d'augmenter la durée de vie de la lampe.
