L'invention concerne un dispositif d'amplification optique, comprenant un amplificateur (1) présentant une excursion de gain optimale dans une plage de longueur d'onde donnée pour une puissance d'entrée donnée, et un filtre (2) présentant une fonction de transfert en cloche, dont la longueur d'onde centrale est accordable sur un domaine suffisante pour permettre de réduire l'excursion de gain de l'amplificateur sur la dite plage lorsque la puissance reçue par l'amplificateur est différente de la dite puissance d'entrée.
