The controlled optical amplifiers (V) for wavelength division multiplex signal transmission in each case have a first control device (OE1, OE2, R1) for gain control and a second dominant control device (OE2, R2, R1) with a substantially slower control response for controlling the output level (P OUT) according to a supplied required value (P SOLL). In the case of a transmission path equipped with these amplifiers, both fast level changes and slow loss changes in the transmission path can be compensated.

L'invention concerne des amplificateurs optiques (V) réglés pour la transmission de signaux en multiplexage par répartition en longueur d'onde. Ces amplificateurs présentent respectivement un premier dispositif de réglage (OE1, OE2, R1) permettant de régler le gain et un deuxième dispositif de réglage dominant (OE2, R2, R1) dont le comportement de réglage est sensiblement plus lent et qui permet de régler le niveau de sortie (POUT) en fonction d'une valeur théorique (POUT) appliquée. L'utilisation de ces amplificateurs sur une ligne de transmission permet de réaliser aussi bien des modifications rapides de niveaux que des modifications lentes d'atténuation de la ligne de transmission.
