A displayed image is channeled through a system comprising: a display that projects an image along an optical path, a lens that focuses the image, a splitter, eye-optics and means for forming a real-image. The splitter creates a plurality of display sub-images that follow one of a plurality of optical sub-paths which passes through the eye-optics placed along at least one of the optical sub-paths. The splitter is located in proximity to a focal point of the image. The means for forming a real-image are arranged along the at least one optical sub-path between the splitter and the eye-optics. A movement of the means for forming maintains a constant length for the optical sub-path.
