The description relates to an optical character generator (ZG) suitable for reproducting raster image data in grey-scale displays. Integrated light sources (LED) in LED arrays are aligned to form a printed line. A means for its control (IC) is allocated to each LED array. Groups of such means (IC) are formed, in which information is shifted for the switch-on time of all LEDs of a group starting with the first IC to the next ICs. The connection of the individual ICs together for transmitting the data is made directly between the ICs by bonding. There is a special ramp circuit (OPV) to prevent current surges when the LEd is switched on. The information and energy are transmitted to the IC groups via a flat unit (FBG) extending along the character generator (ZG). Special busbars ensure that the power is reliably taken to the LED arrays.
L'invention a pour objet un générateur de caractères optique (ZG), approprié pour la reproduction de données d'images tramées en présentation en demi-teintes. Des sources lumineuses (LED) intégrées dans des groupements de diodes électroluminescentes (LED) sont alignées pour former une ligne imprimée. Des moyens de commande (IC) des groupements de LED sont associés à chacun de ces groupements. Des groupes composés de plusieurs de ces moyens (IC) sont formés, groupes dans lesquels une information relative à la durée de commutation pour toutes les LED d'un groupe est décalée d'un premier IC aux IC suivants. La connexion des divers IC entre eux pour le transfert des données est effectuée directement entre les IC par bonding. En vue d'empêcher des surintensités lors de la commutation des LED, il est prévu un circuit de rampe spécial (OPV). Le transfert d'informations et d'énergie aux groupes d'IC s'effectue par l'intermédiaire d'une unité plate (FBG) s'étendant le long du générateur de caractères (ZG). Des barres omnibus spéciales (ESC) assurent une amenée d'énergie exempte de perturbations aux groupements de LED.
