ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An optical data recording/reproducing apparatus essentially includes: a first actuator serving for rough control in the tracking direction and a second actuator serving for precise control in the tracking direction; an out put device for producing a signal representing the acceleration of a moving part of the first actuator; and a compensator for displacement of the second actuator caused by physical interference as a result of movement of the first actuator.
