The present invention provides for a diffractive structure comprising a plurality of grooves each formed by a plurality of two-dimensional scattering and/or diffractive groove elements, aligned in a manner serving to provide for at least one diffractive optical effect and fur-ther a surface display device comprising a plurality of re-gions wherein each region has a diffractive surface relief structure as defined above and wherein the gratings of one of said regions at an angle relative to the gratings of anoth-er of said regions.

La présente invention concerne une structure diffractive comprenant une pluralité de rainures formées chacune par une pluralité d'éléments de rainure de diffusion et/ou de diffraction bidimensionnels, alignées de manière à obtenir au moins un effet optique diffractif. Linvention concerne également un dispositif d'affichage de surface comprenant une pluralité de zones, chaque zone étant dotée d'une structure en relief de surface diffractive telle que définie ci-dessus, et les réseaux d'une desdites zones étant positionnés selon un certain angle par rapport aux réseaux d'une autre desdites zones.
