Optical fiber and cable performance are assured by a category of UV cured polyurethane acrylates. Low cost is the consequence of use of the polycarbonate oligomer. Good performance and long life are ascribed to other ingredients of the coatings. Dependence on the hindered phenols for antioxidant protection assures sufficient protection for these inherently stable materials without incurring fiber damage found to result from use of hindered amine antioxidants.
La performance d'une fibre optique et d'un câble à fibre optique est assurée par une catégorie de polyuréthannes acrylates séchés par UV. On obtient un coût inférieur grâce à l'emploi d'un oligomère de polycarbonate. Une bonne performance et une longue durée sont les autres qualités des revêtements. La dépendance aux phénols entravés pour la protection antioxydante assure une protection suffisante pour ces matériaux naturellement stables, sans causer de dommages aux fibres rencontrées suite à l'utilisation d'antioxydants d'amines entravés.
