An excellent optical fiber built-in type composite insulator including at least two insulator bodies each having a penetration bore, at least one optical fiber inserted in the penetration bores, and sealing structures for the penetration bores of the insulator bodies and for a joining layer of opposing end surfaces of adjacent insulator bodies, is provided, which effectively prevents leakage of inner silicone grease, bending and breakage of the optical fiber, leakage of electric current along the penetration bores, short circuited trouble, and destruction of the insulator bodies, improves joining strength of the opposing end surfaces of the insulator bodies, and maintains the joining strength for a long period, affords a change of numbers of the insulator bodies, and facilitates the production. A method of producing such composite insulator is also provided.

L'invention porte sur un excellent isolant composite de type incorporé pour fibres optiques comprenant au moins deux corps isolants présentant chacun un trou de pénétration, au moins une fibre optique étant insérée dans les trous en question. L'invention prévoit également des structures d'étanchéité, pour les trous des corps isolants et pour une couche d'assemblage des surfaces d'extrémité opposées de corps isolants avoisinants, qui préviennent toute fuite de graisse de silicone et empêchent la fibre optique de se plier et de se briser. Les structures préviennent également toute fuite de courant électrique le long des trous de pénétration, tout problème de court-circuit et la destruction des corps isolants. En outre, elles améliorent la force d'assemblage des surfaces d'extrémité opposées des corps isolants et la maintiennent pendant une longue période, permettent un changement dans le nombre des corps isolants, et simplifient la fabrication. Une méthode de fabrication d'un tel isolant composite est également divulguée.
