In a so-called loose tube optical fiber cable with SZ stranding in which tube units receiving laminated two or more multicore ribbons are stranded toward a central member and its stranding direction is reversed at specific intervals, these multicore ribbons are twisted in the same direction as the stranding of the tube units and a reverse stranding angle of the tube units is selected to be a value within a specific scope, whereby it is possible to relax tension or compression of the multicore ribbons caused by bending of the optical fiber cable, and to decrease a transmission loss as much as possible.
