An optical fiber connecting body comprising a positive dispersion optical fiber having chromatic dispersion at a transmission wavelength and a dispersion compensating optical fiber for canceling the chromatic dispersion of the positive dispersion optical fiber. A cladding diameter of the dispersion compensating optical fiber is smaller than that of the positive dispersion optical fiber and an optical fiber for connection is optically connected between the positive dispersion optical fiber and the dispersion compensating optical fiber.

Corps connecteur de fibres optiques comprenant une fibre optique à dispersion positive présentant une dispersion chromatique à une longueur d'onde de transmission, et une fibre optique à compensation de dispersion pour annuler la dispersion chromatique de la fibre optique à dispersion positive. La gaine de la fibre optique à compensation de dispersion a un diamètre inférieur à celui de la gaine de la fibre optique à dispersion positive. Une fibre optique destinée au raccordement est connectée optiquement entre la fibre optique à dispersion positive et la fibre optique à compensation de dispersion.
