A WDM optical fiber subscriber network capable of expanding the number of the subscribers. In the optical fiber subscriber network, a central office allocates a unique combination of optical wavelengths to a subscriber upon receipt of a service request signal from the subscriber, WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) multiplexes service requested information together with the combined optical wavelength, and transmits the WDM multiplexed optical wavelength through an optical fiber. A plurality of optical subscriber devices optically distributes, filters and combines the WDM multiplexed optical signals received through the optical fiber to select optical wavelengths allocated thereto and outputs the selected optical wavelengths to corresponding subscriber terminals.
