An optical fiber transmission line which includes units for injecting into, and units for extracting, optical service signals from the line's optical fiber. The units include optical service signal emitters and receivers for receiving from the optical line and/or injecting into the optical line service signals in the form of optical signals having a wavelength which is substantially different from the wavelength of the telecommunication signals also transmitted over the optical line, each of the units is associated with an optical coupler which is inserted in the line and which is suitable for coupling it with the line fiber and/or for extracting the optical service signals from the line fiber.
L'invention est une ligne de transmission à fibres optiques qui comprend des unités d'injection de signaux de service lumineux dans les fibres optiques de cette ligne et des unités d'extraction de tels signaux dans cette même ligne. Ces unités contiennent des émetteurs et des récepteurs de signaux de service lumineux qui sont utilisés pour recevoir des signaux de service lumineux de la ligne optique ou pour injecter de tels signaux dans cette ligne, ces signaux lumineux ayant une longueur d'onde substantiellement différente de celle des signaux de télécommunication également transmis sur la ligne; chacune des unités est associée à un coupleur optique inséré dans la ligne qui est peut être couplé à la fibre et/ou être utilisé pour extraire les signaux de service lumineux de la fibre.
