An optical fibre connector for forming a mechanical splice between first and second optical fibres comprises a connector body arranged to clamp the optical fibres therein, wherein the connector body is configured to be at least partially opened to release, or to allow insertion of, at least one of the optical fibres by a squeezing action applied to the connector body.

L'invention concerne un connecteur de fibre optique permettant de former une épissure mécanique entre une première et une seconde fibre optique. Ce connecteur comprend un corps dans lequel les fibres optiques sont insérées et bloquées, et présentant une configuration permettant de l'ouvrir au moins partiellement par compression, afin de libérer au moins une des fibres optiques ou de permettre l'insertion de ces dernières.
