SPLICES BETWEEN OPTICAL FIBERS Abstract of the Disclosure A device for making a splice between two fibers (F1, F2) through a partially reflecting surface, the trans- mitted fraction of light radiation being employed for detection or coupling in another fiber F3. A terminal of transparent material has a partially transparent spherical reflecting surface and a cylindrical bore in which two optical fibers (F1, F2) are placed symmetrically with respect to the center of curvature of the spherical surface. The optical power propagated by the fiber F1 is partially coupled in the second fiber F2 and a third fiber F3. -1-
