The present invention relates to an optical filter having a waveguide structure constituted by a core region in which a grating for reflecting light of a predetermined wavelength is formed at a predetermined portion and a cladding region which has a lower refractive index than the core region and covers the core region. In particular, this optical filter has a light-absorbing structure for absorbing, of light to be reflected by the grating, a light component radiated from the grating to the cladding region. This light- absorbing structure is disposed, at least, at a region where the light component radiated from the grating to the cladding region reaches.
