The present invention relates to materials comprising hydrophilic polymersand immobilized proteorhodopsin and the use of such materials as an optical information carrier. The material comprises one or more hydrophilic polymersthat are capable to form a homogeneous phase with proteorhodopsin prior to solidification to a solid form. The hydrophilic polymer, for example, is silica sol-gel,gelatin, polyvinylalcohol, agarose, agar, methyl cellulose, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol, or a mixture thereof. The solid material having immobilized proteorhodopsin is deposited on a substrate selected from the group consisting of glass, paper, metal, fabric material, plastic material, and used as an optical data storage material or a fraud-proof carrier. The present invention further provides a security ink comprising proteorhodopsin and one or more hydrophilicpolymers.
La présente invention concerne des matières comportant des polymères hydrophiles et de la protéorhodopsine immobilisée et l'utilisation de ces matières en tant que support d'information optique. Ladite matière contient un ou plusieurs polymères hydrophiles capables de former une phase homogène avec la protéorhodopsine avant la solidification en une forme solide. Le polymère hydrophile est par exemple du sol-gel de silice, de la gélatine, de l'alcool polyvinylique, de l'agarose, de l'agar, de la méthylcellulose, de l'acétate de polyvinyle, de la polyvinylpyrrolidone, du polyéthylène glycol ou un mélange de ces substances. La matière solide pourvue de protéorhodopsine immobilisée est déposée sur un substrat choisi dans le groupe constitué par le verre, le papier, le métal, le tissu et le plastique et est utilisée en tant que matière optique de stockage de données ou en tant que support à l'épreuve des fraudes. La présente invention concerne en outre une encre de sécurité contenant de la protéorhodopsine et un ou plusieurs polymères hydrophiles.
